bienvenidos, Kaká!

The new era has started!  Kaká was the first new signing to be presented to the Real Madrid faithful, and they really went all out.  It was more like a Hollywood premiere than anything else, especially compared with previous presentations (when the player was presented to the press in a box in the Bernabéu, then went onto the field in his new uniform and kicked the ball around).  This time, we got lights, camera and action.  Plus, shiny trophies, blown up photos of key moments in Madrid’s history, the honorary president, speeches, and a runway!  The entire presentation looked good, if not a bit over the top.  Let’s hope the new Madrid team also looks this good, but with substance underneath as well.

With that said, I loved how excited Kaká seemed to be.  He looked like a little kid when he was peeping out at the stadium in the moments before walking out.  And later on, in the press conference, it was funny when his eyes and head were swiveling all over looking for the reporter who asked a question.  Plus, he looked good in his suit…

HA! Una I’ve been following for blog since 2010. I never even realized you started in 2009. I’m going to reread all your posts (the ones I didn’t get to read) Wow you are so dedicated to this team and it started with this post. Thank you so much. You are amazing and a talented writer. I really hope you get official appreciation from the club itself. 🙂

Don’t go back and read the archives! The early posts are a bit embarrassing… I hope I have improved as a writer since then!
