AS published a nice interview with Kaká on July 29. I always like to see how the players get along, and we learn some things in this interview.
Q: The arrival of Ronaldo [my note – the Brazilian one] also generated a lot of expectations. Have you been able to speak with him recently?
A: Of course we have spoken. But I didn’t only speak with him, but also with teammates that played in Madrid, such as Roberto Carlos, Robinho, Beckham and Baptista.
They all had good things to say about Madrid. No one told me anything bad, just that this club is impressive. They say that it’s different playing here than anywhere else. In Ronaldo’s case, I will tell you that he has been like a father for me from the time I joined the Brazilian national team in 2002. In the World Cup that year, he took care of me the entire time, I was like his child. For that, I care a lot about him, and he helped me a lot in making the decision to sign with Madrid.
Q: [Tell us about] Casillas.
A: At present he is the person helping me the most. We have been training together since we arrived later than the rest. He brought me to the stadium the day of the game against Al Ittihad and also against the Ecuadorians.
Back to me: That sounds like such an Iker thing to do! What a gran capitán!
