they’re back!
It’s been a long week without football, but Real Madrid is back in training! Worth mentioning: Gago returned with a new hairstyle, Metzelder defends Benzema, Rafa talks about life in Madrid, and the Madrid players make one boy’s dreams come true. And unfortunately, much to my dismay, The Beard has also returned with Iker from vacation.
– First off, Gago. He came back with what looks like a crimped mullet. Yes, it’s as bad as it sounds. Someone should not be allowed to handle their own hair.
– Metzelder was responsible for talking to the press on Tuesday, and he was asked if he would get into a car with Benzema (who, if you remember, has been involved in two car accidents since signing with Madrid). Metze’s reply? If my car not’s working, I would ask him to drive me, but slowly.
– Rafa talked with AS over the holiday, and he said his wife Sylvie likes football and they talk a lot about Madrid. All they want to do is live in Madrid and be happy, and they are achieving this. Damian, meanwhile, speaks better Spanish than his papá, knows that his father plays in Madrid and likes watching the games.
– José, a Spanish boy with cerebral palsy, saw his dreams come true when he got to go to watch Real Madrid and meet with the players afterwards. I love how cariñosos they are with him! Benzema and Lass team up to autograph his scarf, Raúl gives him a kiss, Guti hugs him, Cris hugs him twice, and Iker gives him his game jersey, chats with him and helps to unveil a specially-made bicycle. The host of the show says all the players were more than willing to take part. Watch the video below.
– And The Beard has returned to Iker’s face – sigh. Incidentally, he (both The Beard and Iker) spent part of his vacation in Fuerteventura.
