¡felicidades Raúl Albiol!

Congratulations to Raúl, Alicia and new big sister Azahara (above) – Alma was born on early Friday morning.  Albiol trained along with his teammates this morning and will speak with the press before traveling to Valencia to be with his family.  ¡Enhorabuena!

Update: Raúl wasn’t at the birth because it was expected to happen next week.  Alma was born in Valencia and weighed in at 2.8 kilos.

(Btw, Raúl and Alicia sure wasted no time after the birth of Azahara, no?  Azahara was born in March 2009, which makes the sisters only 10 months apart.  I’m guessing this has to do in part with the fact that Albiol’s nickname is El Chori and he has been described as “largo como una longaniza”?)
