Iker on Haiti

This is from the same interview that I posted about here, but I thought that these statements that Iker made about Haiti deserved their own post, so here they are.  The only thing to be said is that Iker is a great humanitarian.

Q:  Are you keeping up with what’s going on in Haiti?

A:  Everyday.  It’s so sad…

Q:  Would you like to travel there?

A:  Yes.  We don’t realize how much influence Real Madrid has.  In Mali and Sierra Leone, the kids knew my name and what position I played, but didn’t know what I looked like.  Now they do.  I would like to go in July.  Being with the kids and talking with them about football will help them to forget about what happened… for this, I will travel there.
