Courtesy of AS, we have a few statistics on Iker’s 499 games.

– Iker has been scored on 553 times.

– he’s kept a clean sheet in 169 games.

– the record is 297 wins, 109 losses and 93 ties.

– the competition breakdown is 368 Liga games, 16 Copa games, 7 Supercopa de España games, 101 Champions games, 2 European Super Cup games, 2 Intercontinental Cup games, 3 Club World Championship (Club World Cup) games.

– and during this time span, 11 trophies (4 Ligas, 3 Supercopas de España, 2 Champions League, 1 European Super Cup, 1 Intercontinental Cup).

– Iker has had 11 coaches in these 499 games (can you name them all?  Toshack, Del Bosque, Queiroz, Camacho, García Remón, Luxemburgo, López Caro, Capello, Schuster, Juande Ramos and Pellegrini).

– Iker’s debut was on Sept. 12, 1999, in a Liga game against Athletic in San Mamés, which ended 2-2.

– at present, Iker is 11th on Madrid’s all time games played list (and ranked 5th for madrileños, 1st for goalkeepers and 3rd for active players).

– Iker has been sent off twice: against Gimnàstic in a Copa del Rey game at the Bernabéu on Dec. 18, 2001, and in a Liga game in Pamplona on April 30, 2006.

    Love the site! I don’t think there are many Real Madrid fan sites just dedicated to the non-football aspect of the club. I especially love the Iker emphasis of your blog. Keep up the great work. Will check often!
