Cristiano I

Cristiano is now up there (temporarily, I’m assuming) with kings, writers, artists and other illustrious historical figures… this appeared in Madrid’s Plaza de Ramales, between the Plaza Mayor and la Almudena, yesterday as part of some Nike promotion.
It’s a shame that the statue’s not true to life – I don’t see any earrings, the shirt’s not tight enough, and being all one color, we miss out on Cristiano’s highlights. And if it were really, really true to life, there’d be a statue of Kaká in the direction that statue Cristiano is staring in.
