Rodrigo Moreno (above right, with Juan Carlos Pérez) is a forward who was born in Rio de Janeiro in 1991 (such a baby!), and has lived in Spain for the last seven years.  He has both Brazilian and Spanish citizenship, and has played for the Spanish U-19 national team.  He came over from Celta last summer for free, and moved from Juvenil A to Madrid C and now to Castilla, all in a matter of six months.  Rodrigo is also still studying, and has a double major.

On Wednesday this week, due to the absence of almost half the squad who were on international duty, el míster invited Rodrigo to the practice and had him line up with the first team in a mini-game against Castilla players.  Rodrigo ended up scoring a goal.  Sources say Madrid is hoping to find a first division team for him to play with next year, because they want him to mature more as a player as they are convinced he would be a good addition to Madrid’s first team in the future.
