now it’s Iker’s turn

Big game coming up tonight, so AS has to interview the big gun, after Marca had Sergio Ramos on their cover yesterday.  Here’s what Iker said to AS yesterday, regarding the fans, printed in today’s AS [2010-03-10 edition]:

We need the Bernabéu public like we need food.  The fans are the most important thing we have, and they are there because we are coming out to fight and win… Against Sevilla, we saw the fans believing in a comeback, and this produced an effect on the players, giving them hope and helping them to fight for the game.

By the way, Iker’s prognosis for the game is 2-0.  Sergio was a bit more greedy and gave a prediction of 3-0 to Marca.

Picture above is from AS.  I cropped out Iker’s white sneakers.  I just can’t look at them anymore, especially when I’m already so nervous about the game.  If that doesn’t make sense to you, just know that I take Iker’s fashion choices personally.

Apparently, AS has a Champions League trophy as well.  Or else Madrid just has a replica trophy that travels around for photo ops.
