odds and ends…

… while we wait for today’s game in Valladolid.  How do you think Madrid will do?

One. I’m already fed up with Marca trying to get rid of Pellegrini, and I also wish that Marca would stop its smear campaign against Gonzalo Higuaín.  They are trying their best to get rid of him.  Some people think it’s because Marca backs FP, and Pipita is a Calderón signing.  Whatever the reason is, Madrid NEEDS Higuaín.

Two. According to Marca (and who knows if we can trust them with other stories), Kaká is now working five hours every day at Valdebebas – he arrives at 09:30 in the morning and doesn’t leave until after 14:00 – to become a better player.  He does 600 sit-ups a day, does weights and also cycles.  Additionally, Zidane has offered his help with whatever Kaká needs.

Cheers to Kaká for doing all this to spend more time with Cristiano, who is also known to train extra hours get better.

Three. This is Sergio after the Sevilla game.  If I wanted to be nice, I would say it’s because he got dressed in the dark.  But since I’m not that nice, I’m going to say that it’s because Sergio is becoming more and more of a female.

Four. The boys took the AVE (the Spanish high-speed train) to Valladolid last night.  Can you imagine if you were taking the AVE and suddenly, in the next carriage, you notice the Real Madrid team?  I would find a way to sneak in.  In any case, Iker, Arbeloa and Guti came out of their carriage and signed autographs.  You think there were any girls fainting in the aisles?

By the way, I like how Cristiano is using his mouth as an extra hand.  I’m also liking his side-parted hair – very old-Hollywood glam.  I just wonder how he manages to keep it like that during the entire game?
