Juanfran, or Juan Francisco Moreno Fuertes, is a forward.  His career started in Avance, in Alcalá.  When he was 17, he moved to Getafe, where he made his Liga, Copa and UEFA Cup debuts.  He was then ceded to Villarreal B and last summer, Castilla signed him.

Juanfran has known Pellegrini since his stint at Villarreal, and says he’s a great motivator.  He’s one of the preferred canteranos for el míster at the moment and has frequently been called up to train with the first team.  In one memorable occasion, he scored six goals in a practice game and was congratulated by Cristiano Ronaldo.  Mahamadou Diarrá calls him “our Pedrito.”  Juanfran says training with the big boys is a great experience, but he knows that his team is Castilla.

On Sunday against Toledo, Juanfran scored an impressive goal from 50 meters out, the second goal for Castilla that day.  He would go on to score the third as well.  See the first goal here.
