a busy end to the week

Several of Madrid’s players attended a presentation on Friday of the Balance Xtreme bracelet, whose sales benefit the NGOs  Mensajeros de la Paz and Infancias Sin Fronteras.

Madrid’s leading fashionista Sergio Ramos (see those green pants?) was there, as were Pipita and Garay, though the former posed with Sergio and not with his Argentine best friend.  Meanwhile, the inseparable “Spanish internationals whose last names begin with the letter A” group – Albiol, Arbeloa and Alonso – also came together.  They would also sit together later on at the Mutua Madrileña Madrid Open.  Raúl Albiol had already worn and shown off his bracelet during the lunch for Christoph Metzelder several days earlier.

Amaia Salamanca was there too, but I’ve cropped her out because I don’t approve of her stalking Madrid’s players to find her next conquest, after allegedly hooking up with Sergio, Guti and Iker.  She would later sit next to the already taken Raúl Albiol while watching tennis.

To recap the busy week Madrid’s players have had off the field: on Monday Sergio and Iker helped to present the book “Los Secretos de la Roja.”  Then on Tuesday, about half of the squad showed up at Sergio’s charity golf match, which benefited the Fundación Apascovi.  On Wednesday, Kaká was in Valencia to promote razors, while Iker collected an award in Ávila, the La Alcazaba award, for being a good abulense, and Raúl and Cristiano were seen watching tennis at the Caja Mágica after the lunch honoring Metzelder.  And on Thursday, Iker supported Madrid’s bid to host the 2018 Ryder Cup, while several players watched Nadal play.
