the Corazón Classic Match

Zidane, Figo, Macca and Karembeu were some of the recently retired Madrid players who showed for this match against veterans from AC Milan.  Am I showing my age by remembering the days when Macca and Karembeu wore the Madrid white?  Anyway, speaking of hearts, Zidane still has mine.  If I had been there, I would have been screaming “Zizou, I love you” the entire time.  I absolutely love him and wish he were still playing – and he could, he still has the skills.  And how much I’ve missed Macca too!  I wonder what he and Zidane were talking about?

The goalkeepers wore the orange shirt, and luckily they weren’t matched with the orange shorts.  I think that disaster is only for Iker.

I’m all nostalgic now…

The game ended Madrid 4 – 3 Milan.  More pictures here, and a video here.

I would have LOVED to see Di Stéfano suit up, although that would have been impossible.  I like the Madrid pin on his suit!

And here is another reason why I love Madrid – we’ve always had good-looking players!
