following Real Madrid…

reason 718 why I love this team

In addition to a very nice commercial for the new shirts, we were also treated to a making of video featuring Xabi Alonso, Pepe, Benzema, Iker, Ronaldo and Kaká.

It had some VERY good moments.  Here are my highlights, although I would highly recommend that you head over to AS to watch the video.

The first moment was the artist’s rendition of the scene.  I’ve put up the real ad next to it (click on images to enlarge) so you can have some comparison.  Here’s what I learned.

– I never thought Kaká and Xabi Alonso looked alike, but apparently they do.

– Benzema and Pepe are interchangeable.

– Cristiano is heavier than he looks, Xabi couldn’t lift him as high as the director wanted.

– the artist HATES Iker.  Look at the drawing of Iker!  I spent a good five minutes laughing at it!

In order to create that picture, the players had to keep jumping, except Pepe, who was tasked with squatting and roaring.  That produced hilarious results.

And later on, Xabi was made to run and ended up exhausted!  Pobrecito!  Kaká was a total professional and waited until the shot was over to crack up.

I can’t wait to see the rest of the pictures!  More moments after the jump!

Here are some images of the finished product.

I love that in the locker room, the players had assigned seats, as was shown by the pieces of paper taped to the walls with their names on it.  But why was Xabi sitting in Iker’s place?

Kaká being a good teammate by helping to keep Xabi and Cristiano wet.

And Benzema, being very unoriginal.
