Also adorable was the object of their affection, during practice yesterday and a press conference today in Johannesburg.  On Wednesday, Brazil beat Zimbabwe 3-0 in a friendly.

However, not very many German girls feel like those two South African girls.  According to an online survey of 1,400 single German women, 70% think Rafa van der Vaart is the most attractive footballer in the World Cup.  Cristiano Ronaldo was in second place, and Fernando Torres finished sixth.  Kaká didn’t make the top 10.

And speaking of Cristiano Ronaldo, he and his Portuguese teammates have decided to forgo all of their rest days during the World Cup.  That means that the players will spend time with each other instead of their families.  Which won’t matter because they’ve all decided not to bring family and friends to the World Cup to prevent any distractions.  How long do you think Cristiano will survive without mama Dolores and his latest conquest?

Meanwhile, both AS and Marca spoke with Pipita as he celebrated the extension of his contract until 2016.  In the AS interview, Gonzalo said that he’s very happy with the extension, which was something he really wanted.  Of Mourinho, he said he’s a winner, but he also added that it was a shame that Pellegrini had left because he really liked working with him, and because he was a good person.  We also find out that he’s been talking with his teammates on the Spanish national team, and his family will be in South Africa.  The Marca interview is more of the same, with Gonzalo saying he’s the happiest man in the world due to his contract extension, and that he couldn’t be any happier.  Yay Pipita!
