the Portugal-Brazil game just got less interesting
Let’s put our World Cup goal count at four: three for Pipita, and one for Kaká, since he assisted in two of Brazil’s goals in their 3-1 win over Cote d’Ivoire (I’m handing out 0.5 goals for each assist). It works in ice hockey, why can’t it work here?
Anyway, our Ricky also got himself expelled from the game. The worst news ever: he is thus suspended for the Portugal game which means that WE ARE NOT GOING TO SEE HIM PLAY AGAINST HIS BFF CRISTIANO!!! I was so looking forward to the moment right before the game begins when the players are shaking hands – I really wanted to see what kind of hug/smiles Cris and Ricky would give each other! I mean, if they were this excited back in December when they found out their countries had been drawn into the same group, can you imagine the level of excitement come game day???
This is only the third time in his career that Kaká has been ejected. But at least Brazil advanced, even if they didn’t show themselves to be the team everyone expected them to be.
My favorite pictures from the game. I love the pout upon seeing the yellow and the little grin upon the red.

And this one of Ricky holding his teammate’s hand as he is taken off the field. It’s so sweet!

If FIFA don’t repeal this red card immediately, they all deserve swift kicks to their backsides! And I happily volunteer my left foot for that task! How dare they deprive the WORLD of Kaka-Cris man love?!
I was so bumped out when Kaka got the red card simply because I wanted to see him go against Cristiano Ronaldo.
Nevertheless, I still watched the POR vs BRA match but something was definitely lacking 😦
