quédate, Iker

There seems to be a lot of rumors going around that both Manchester teams, United and City, want Iker.  That was a good enough reason for Marca to publish this photo of Iker, taken during the 1999-00 season, when Real Madrid faced Manchester United in the Champions League (those were some good games).  I miss young Iker – look at that big amount of hair, and those eyebrows!

Here are some reasons off the top of my head why he won’t be moving to England:

1.  His English isn’t too good.  (Yes, I do love that video).

2.  He has the opportunity to be the first captain of Real Madrid next season (and he’ll be great, because this is what the second captain is doing at the moment – flirting with a pregnant ex-Miss Spain in Ibiza.  And nice painted nails Guti).

3.  To me, he’s never appeared to be the type to be seduced by money (let’s hope our club is the same).

4.  Sergio Ramos.

5.  His loyalty to the club, his club since he was 9 years old.  He really is the poster child for the cantera.

6.  He loves the city of Madrid and he’s a true madrileño.
