Q: Cannavaro was the one in charge of bringing the Cup before the final. What did he tell you?
A: When we won the Eurocopa, he told me, “I’m happy for you because it’s something great for Spanish football, but until you lift up la bambina you won’t realize what it is.” He called the World Cup la bambina and never told me why.
