bad luck, San Francisco

August 4, 2010

Real Madrid will travel to San Francisco today without some of their players, the ones that arrived in recent days.  That means that fans won’t get to see Iker, Arbeloa, Albiol, Canales, Khedira, Sergio Ramos, Xabi Alonso, Rafa and Kaká play.  These players will stay behind in Los Angeles to concentrate on getting fit.  They will continue the two-a-day sessions at UCLA, with Kaká still working on his own in the gym to recuperate from his hernia problems.  And it also doesn’t seem that there will be a training session in San Francisco, meaning Madrid will just show up for the game.

However, I’m excited to see whatever line-up Madrid will field for this game, because I have high hopes for this season.

Well poop. I’m just going to put my head down and sulk for a little bit. I mean, I get their logical reasons, but now I don’t even get to look at any of our World Cup winners.

I just got back from the game and it was INCREDIBLE!!!! But it breaks my heart that all of my favorite players were absent tonight. Maybe next time.

I should have read your blog before I headed to the game last night! I was quite disappointed to see a whole lot of players I hadn’t had the pleasure of properly researching 😦 However, it was great to see players like Higuain, di Maria and Pepe! Although really…where were all my Spaniards?!
