why Madrid is like the UN

Rafa van der Vaart has become Sami Khedira’s translator, as he is the only one that speaks German (from his days with Hamburg).  He’s been translating Mourinho’s orders to the German, and the rest of the squad has been teasing him by applauding each time he does so (cute!).  Khedira will start Spanish classes when the team returns to Madrid.

And the same thing is happening with Christoph Metzelder and Raúl over in Germany, with the former helping to translate between German and Spanish for the latter.  And not only in practice sessions and games, but also in interviews.  Watch one here!
