the hottest spot in town…

… is the theoretical enfermería of Real Madrid. After all, if you could hang out there, you’d be in the company of one-fourth of the team: Cristiano Ronaldo, Raúl Albiol, Ezequiel Garay, Lass Diarrá, Kaká, Pepe, Fernando Gago, and if el madridismo is unlucky, Karim Benzema! Cris will make it a party!
If you’ve been away, here is a quick summary of the injuries: Kaká had surgery on his left knee on Aug. 5, and will be out for 3-4 months. Pepe (left foot; 3 weeks), Garay (right knee; 3-4 months), Albiol (right ankle; 4-5 weeks) and Gago (left knee; 4-5 weeks) were all injured during pre-season games. Cristiano and Lass ended the Mallorca game with pains, in the right ankle and right hamstring, respectively. Cris’ recovery time is expected to be around three weeks, and that of Lass, two weeks. And then Karim Benzema injured his right ankle during a training session with France yesterday.
Let’s hope the rest of our boys are lucky and stay injury free (knock on wood), and that Mou and his coaching staff re-evaluate their work methods to root out the cause, if any, behind these injuries so they won’t happen again!

sure, but I dont think its cause of the training methods. All these injuries happened in games. Often with the “help” of the opponent. Only Benzemas was in training but with France. And Kakás injury was before he even trained with Mou.
Speedy recovery for all our players!!! Really unlucky and I hope, were done with injuries from now on…
I don’t know what’s happening. There’s always someone injured. Why? Why!?! It’s like a curse or something.. (it sounds stupid, I know, but anyway..) I just hope that they’ll be o.k., ’cause Real needs them. And we too!
p.s. I’m glad Sergi (Ramos) is not injured! … yet..
Please, don’t you even mention Sergio in this respect!!! You may incur trouble on him!!! (knock on wood x 3)
Funny you mentioned that…because when I heard about Cristiano and Lass I thought “Theyre CURSED!!!” Come the next game day, I will be watching with plenty of rabbits feet, four leaf clovers, horseshoes and the like…and I wont even think about **the player you named** being **you know what** WONT EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!!!
*fingers in ears* LALALALALALA CAN’T HEAR YOU
There will be no more you-know-whats to our you-know-whos…
But seriously, if there are, we’re going to be (even more) up the creek without a paddle. Ugh.
:):):)
Isn’t this GREAT?
We’ve got so many injuries, just past the first match AND we’ve got internationals coming up?
Let’s hope the rest of our players don’t get injured on international duty.
By the way, I’ve just checked realmadrid.com and it says they play Argentina on the 7th, but I have a (stupid) question. Why would they play Argentina if it’s the EURO 2012 qualifiers?
Sorry, I know…I’m kind of stupid. 😛
The game against Liechtenstein is a Euro qualifier, and the game against Argentina is just a friendly.
Ah, should’ve thought of that haha!
But it’s going to be tiring for the players to go all the way to Argentina 😦
