Update: according to Marca, Rafa said that he’s leaving with a lot of pain in his heart. ¡Pobrecito!

Hmn. It did seem like his transfer was on the cards, but who would have thought Spurs? I hope English tabloids don’t go on about comments he made earlier that only a move to Man U would not mean a step down (the tabs are SOO petty like that!!)
Still, hope he settles in well and Spurs are in CL this year, so there are definite goals the club are striving for. ..

Rafa didn’t say he was leaving with a lot of pain in his heart. He said he didn’t expect that to happen so and that he didn’t get along with the club (meaning the administration, I guess). Sure, he just wants to seem very cold-hearted but deep inside he’s sorry to leave. It’s sad he’s gone now but it’s not the worst loss for Madrid compared with Raul or Guti…
Wish him all the luck in ELP.

I’ve always fancied him (and the missus) going to EPL, but not this. It would have been easier to take had he been sold to Arsenal. Alas… 😦
