random fact #18
September 3, 2010
Real Madrid is the youngest team in the first division this year, with an average age of 25 years, thanks to the signing of very young players (Canales, Özil, Di María, Khedira, Pedro León, all of whom are 23 or younger) this summer, combined with the departure of several older players (Raúl, Guti, Metzelder). Sergio C. is the youngest player at 19, while Jerzy Dudek is the oldest at 37. The signing of Ricardo Carvalho (32) makes Iker the third oldest at 29.
Hércules is the oldest club, with an average age of 28.5 years. Barcelona’s average age is 27.

Hey, this is a nice Real Madrid blog!
I’ve added your blog to my blog’s link list 🙂
I really don’t think being the youngest will harm us that much. These guys have got enough talent to overcome their age. For example, when Canales is confidently at his best, someone who doesn’t know him would be fooled into adding a few years to his age. I’m glad this won’t be an issue 🙂
