back together again!

September 9, 2010

Back to club football, yay!!!  All of the internationals joined their teammates in the afternoon training session yesterday, and Benzema and Higuaín got special attention for the goals they scored (let’s hope it bodes well for their confidence, especially in the case of Karim).  The hair twins (Sami & Sergio) also hugged, as can be seen above.

Next game is the home debut of the 2010-11 Real Madrid against Osasuna on Saturday at 20h local time, which means we only have two more days to prepare for it!  And I think we all breathed a big sigh of relief that none of our players came back injured, no?  Especially the defenders and the forwards (it sounds bad, but if a midfielder got injured, no one would really care because we have a lot more options there).

(Updated with a picture of Iker on his way to Alejandro Sanz’ concert!  He’s wearing a -sigh- plaid shirt.)

The rest of the time that the team had free on Wednesday was spent doing a diverse amount of activities.

TSO went shopping at the club store at the Bernabéu, emerging with eight shopping bags full of items, the majority of them shirts.  The club doesn’t give this kind of stuff to him for free?  Maybe he gets a discount… since he must at least have the carnet madridista, no?  I wish the club would sell his monogrammed “J.M.” training shirts…

And Cristiano Ronaldo presented Spanish watch company Timeforce’s new collection at the Hotel Puerta de América, which included CR watches.  I’m surprised that he didn’t ask to have the “7 o’clock” prominently displayed instead of the “9.”  And I have to say, I’m a bit doubtful that we’ll ever see Cristiano in a Timeforce watch (other than at a promotional event like this one), given that he tends to favor watches that cost about a thousand times more than a Timeforce watch.

Meanwhile, the Hermes belt is a vast improvement over his previous CR own brand/Gucci/snakeskin disasters and quite unexpected!  The commercial Cris did for Timeforce, however, was pure vintage Cristiano Ronaldo.  That’s Spanish actress Elsa Pataky with him, you know, the one that Mou was so interested in.

And lastly, unamadridista favorite Miguel Torres was at Alejandro Sanz’ concert last night (it wouldn’t surprise me if several Madrid players were there as well, so I’ll keep an eye out for more information).  He tweeted during the concert, which he obviously enjoyed a lot.  “Gushing” is probably the best word to describe his tweets.  On the left, he says, “great concert by Alejandro Sanz!  I have goosebumps…” and on the right, he’s tweeting along to Alex’s song “Cuando nadie me ve.”  He goes on to call Alex “incredible.”  See the rest of Miguel’s tweets here!

Update: a couple of “exes” were there – Guti’s ex-wife Arancha and Iker’s ex-girfriend Eva.  Guti’s current girlfriend Noelia was in attendance as well.  And Iker and Sara as well – I wonder if they ran into Eva?  And if Iker and Eva are still friends?  Picture via Bellazon.

LOL… actually its not funny still, its a header & a whole article for AS that our internationals came back healthy. The Argentina travellers must have went directly from the airport to training, wasnt much time between landing & training start. Or they must at least rushed home put the bags there and back to training.

I saw Miguels tweets too. Haha that was fun! =)

Cris’ shirt is hypnotizing!!! He looks better without. Hypnotizes as well, but in a more pleasant way. 😉

Miguel’s love of Alex is adorable. I’d be doing the same thing – fangirling like crazy for the combo of Alex and Bisbal and “Corazón partío”. (I apologize in advance for my unabashed love of Bisbal. I can’t help it.)

Sami and Sergio… I want some tweets about your inevitable joint hairstyling sessions, mkay? Also sleepovers where you deep condition each others’ hair.

Cris’s ad is hilarious. Like, my laughter can’t even be silenced by the naked presence of his formidable torso. Sorry, Cris, I love you, but… no.

In conclusion: yay for La Liga being back in session! Let’s actually win some now! :-p

    isnt that cute? from AS:

All the internationals dearly embraced each other when they came back to meet with the rest of their team mates.

Jose getting a jump on his christmas shopping, hehehe.
I like Cris ad, they totally played off his reputation as a ladies man. Here’s hoping that he’s pass that and he finds someone. It’s not all about him now.

Iker and Sara and Eva …….. I hope they didn’t run into each other. That would be awkward. I don’t know if Iker and Eva are still friends but the thought of Sara and Eva meeting each other in front of curious eyes.. well.

lol @ iker and present/past meeting up – madrid’s not that big a place, right? So they’re bound to bump into each other at social outings.

Annndddd……that photo of Cristiano seemed extremely familiar to me, so I went and searched around – lo and behold, it’s a *gasp* recycled outfit (I believe exactly the same, from belt, shirt, pants) from his tv interview ‘O Regresso dos Incriveis’.

Ever feel like getting something off your chest and having a good ol’ cry? Just browse through pictures of Iker’s plaid shirts… *sigh* Such a beautiful man..such hideous clothing choices.
TSO buying the “regular” items for sale? Say what?! I would’ve thought that he’d even have his RM mug handles customized for the fit of his special fingers 😆
I’m 99.9% sure that I’d never run into him, but did anyone else just memorize Iker’s license plate number? 😕 *Ahem* yep, just me? Okay.
Yay! So glad the boys are all back training together!

Iker’s plaid shirt collection rivals that of some actual lumberjacks… it’s really quite tragic. (And, uh, you’re not the only one to take note of the license plate. But my time in Spain is spent mostly in the south, so I doubt I’ll have much occasion to use that knowledge.)

Also, genuinely LOL at the idea of Mou having customized mug handles for his “special” fingers… amazing!
