which is your favorite?
I don’t know why, but Real Madrid never releases the official portraits (individual or group) of the team, and each year I have to rely on UEFA to publish them on their Real Madrid team page. And, with the first Champions League game tomorrow, they’re out!
A couple of quick observations: there’s obviously no one on the payroll over at Madrid who works in lighting, because more than one player looks washed out. I’m loving the Brazilians’ huge smiles (I’m counting Pepe according to his birthplace here), which are in contrast to the Portugueses’ sullen expressions. Benzema and Gago get the award for most awkward portraits, the former for his fake smile and the latter for not looking at the camera. And Pipita was the only one who went for a head tilt. Finally, 11 out of the 25 players have facial hair.
P.S. – did the goalkeepers get to choose which color jerzy jersey they wanted to wear?
I think Sergio Canales’ picture is kind of weird looking.. His eye..

Somehow Ozil’s smiling face caught me! he looks so tired in every match that I find it even surprising to see him with such smile in the photo. haha. My favorite is the one of Pipita. Love that head tilt and smile! Btw they really should have a decent photographer…
Somebody forgot to tell some players it’s portrait day. Granero and Canales should’ve tidied up a bit. Sergio’s stands out—perhaps because of the warmer colors?

Seriously, the person who cut The Ramos’ hair should be in jail by now… in the same Jcell as those photographers.
If the goalies did get to choose, Iker chose wrong.

These are actually awful. I could probably take better pictures with my phone – couldn’t they shell out just a teeny bit for a decent photographer? Or did they just go visit their friends at Valdemoro and get some mugshots taken for free?
The lighting in Sergio’s is probably the most natural, but he’s wearing his Beiber hair, so it’s a fail. Iker and Arbeloa probably look the best, if I had to pick.

some look really aweful. Haha, Adan even somehow looks like a comic figure. For me the best are Sergio and surprise, surprise, Iker. 😉
anyway, always thought these frontal pics look aweful most of the time.
I’d have to say that my faves are Pepe, Marcelo, Sami and Alvaro. Would’ve been El Ramos if it weren’t for that helmet on his head.
LOL at Benzema and Gago! You would’ve thought that the photographers would have enough courtesy to retake just one more teensy weensy photo of Gago, but noooo.
PEPE!! So adorable, don’t you just want to hug him??? Arbeloa is a close second and only second cause he doesn’t look quite so huggable.
Well I dont think I have to mention who my fave is….but I will lol any picture of Sergio is my fave because Im loyal like that 😉 But I think Arbeloa takes #2. I would have liked to see more of the players go for the head tilt, it would have made for some classic pictures haha and Ozil……I said before that he looked to me like Edward Scissorhands but now he looks like a little bird to me lol he just looks like he could sprout wings and go *chirp chirp* 😀

Every time I focus on Benzema I burst out laughing. Creepy awkward smile. He and Arbeloa look a little stoned.

wow..i admit the pictures could be better but my faves our the Brazilian everybody loves Kaka with that smile..Ozil he’s just adorable..and Pipita what a cutie! 🙂
did they use a fish eye lens? Jeez, Real , spring for photoshop and do some color correction already.

Oezil looks so happy in his picture! Despite the fact that I never really liked him I have to say he probably looked the most natural in all the pictures. Is it just me or does it look like Higuain and di Maria have the same hair…
