no Sergio tonight!

September 15, 2010

Sergio Ramos left the concentración at the Mirasierra Suites hotel this afternoon at 13h due to discomfort in the calf of one leg.  The calf was already bothering him at the conclusion of yesterday’s training session, and the pain got worse overnight.  Sergio then informed Mourinho and then headed to the Sanitas La Moraleja hospital to get some tests done to see how bad the injury is.

Thus, he won’t play tonight against Ajax, and Álvaro Arbeloa will take his place.  At least we can expect some good tweets from this, no?  (From Álvaro I mean, not Sergio – maybe he will check in on foursquare from his place on the field at the Bernabéu!).

This is going to be one of those times where I regret not becoming a masseuse/physical therapist again, isn’t it?

Ha! Did you see the picture Fabregas tweeted of him and his masseuse? He definitely knew what he was doing posting something like that 😉

Nooooooo….. that’s not good…. I hope it’s nothing serious! In any case it’s better to take him out of the lineup tonight than risk it becoming worse. Eeek.

yeah I saw when the news broke. Now Im glad they dont force him.

LOL. It would be fun to see Álvaro tweet from the field using foursquare. Haha. =D Is it allowed to take mobiles on the pitch? 😛

…*hyperventilates* this isn’t good.. Why do these things have to happen?!
If he’s not playing, I’ll be huffing and gruffing in the corner whilst watching the game. I love Alvaro too, and it’s nice to see him get some pitch time even if it’s at the expense of watching Sergio, but I’m just so attached to seeing El Ramos as a regular at every game 😦

I didn’t even know about this until after the match had started (bad madridista, I know!) and since the only decent stream I could find was in Basque, and kind of blurry, it took me a bit to figure out that my beloved was missing, and then I was sad.

(And the five million missed shots on goal really didn’t improve my mood.)

Hope he gets well soon – games are just not the same without him!

The selfishness of the people in my house caused them to watch a different match on a giant TV while I had to watch our match streaming, choppy, and in Spanish.. I found out about the goals about eight minutes before I actually managed to witness them (thanks to RM’s spoiler tweets..)
