Rafa will be at the Bernabéu tonight!

September 15, 2010

To counteract this piece of bad news, it appears that Rafa Nadal will be a guest of honor at the game tonight.  Madrid is asking UEFA if he can take the saque de honor, since that’s normally prohibited in Champions League games.  Can’t wait to see this great champion!

This morning, Rafa told the press upon his arrival in Madrid that “any new project takes time and Mourinho’s Madrid needs time.  The fans always want results immediately and that’s not easy.”  He also expressed his hopes that this year will be the year of La Décima.

😮 Oh my God, after reading the title only, I thought you meant Rafa VDV! Which is a tad bit daft on my behalf..But still, Rafa Nadal, yay! 😀 What he said to the press was nice, we all know that that’s true, but as fans we’re just too antsy to wait for that time to pass and for us to start winning and actually keep winning.

Rafa *almost* made up for the Sergiolessness of today’s match. He looked pretty fine in that suit, too!
