Sergio tweets about his calf

Good news, Sergio’s injury is not serious!  As the man himself says, he hopes to be back in the lineup the next game.  I hope he tweets from the Bernabéu tonight!

Left: Hi friends… the MRI has ruled out a tear and I hope to be ready for the next game…

Right: I had a lot of desire to play the first Champions League game but the doctors and the coach didn’t want me to force myself because I could hurt myself and then be out for even more time.

Regards to everyone and thanks for all your support…

Good, good, good but I wanted to see him play tonight so badly……. I know im being unreasonable here, to rest a bit is wiser.

yeah its better to stay out one game instead of being forced out for weeks. Im sure àlvaro will give his best! Relax champion and recover soon! =)

Ahh poor Sergio! Luckily it isn’t anything too serious

Too bad he won’t be playing tonight though, it’s one of the very few games i can watch on tv instead of searching the internet for a good stream. (Being dutch and our tv channels being stupid enough not to broadcast la liga)

Sergio seems to be bored. he spoils us with fb postings & tweets to keep us informed about his injury. Head up champ! =)

I would have loved to watch Sergio tonight; nonetheless, health must always come first.
Will look forward to seeing Alvaro on the pitch tonight. If he does not post overly enthusiastic (and slightly fan girl-ish) tweets about the match, then I will surely be disappointed 😦
Haha as I was writing this, my calendar’s alarm went off warning me that the match airs in less than two hours. I remember, iCal..believe me I do.:)

Ooh, clever… I should have an iCal list devoted to Sergio-related events! Thank you for the great idea!

Slightly sad that Arbeloa didn’t tweet from the pitch (“grass not so green on this side, but we’re still winning!”) but I’m sure he’ll make up for it soon… I wanna know all about his fantasy football team!

Haha, don’t mention it 😉 The alarm is pretty useful especially when it’s a game I can only watch streaming, it gives me some time to hunt for links.
I’m a bit disappointed with Alvaro. It’s true that he played the full ninety minutes, but the Alvaro we’re used to would have tweeted come rain or sunshine!

Poor baby… I’m glad he’s being sensible and not trying to push through and make things worse. Hopefully he’s better soon!

“I had a lot of desire to …”

i see this phrase a lot in translations from spanish. i think the english equivalent would be “I really wanted to…”

    just a thought.
