According to Marca (this is their cover today), Mou and Iker had the following conversation.
Iker: we would like to know if it’s possible to start training sessions at 11h, rather than 10h. That way, we’ll be able to take our kids to school.
Mou: but you don’t have kids.
Iker: yes, but some of my teammates do.
Mou: they’re a minority.
On the last point, he’s right, because only Ricardo Carvalho and Jerzy Dudek, the two oldest guys on the team, have kids that are school-age. It’ll be interesting to see how this plays out, if it’s true.

I don’t know why I literally laughed out loud at Iker’s excuse, and Mou’s answer. It sounds so wrong on so many levels.

… does Marca expect us to take this seriously though!? I admit I can’t, lol!
Ok. Probably my worst comment but still: is there a time for start of school like in france? us it is 8.30 or 8.45 so if it’s the same, i guess u would have time to go to school, and drive to training in time no? unless driving in madrid is like driving in paris= hell. Anyway, how dare they use the kids to have more sleep in the morning 🙂 ?
Methinks the Marca editors are making up stories again!
I am just on vaca in Madrid (saw my first RM game live – unfortunately am leaving soon – boo hoo) and have been buying Marca everyday while i have been here – I am addicted to it but it amazes me how they manage to fill 40 pages every day. Today’s cover made me laugh, especially the pics – Mou with his hand to his ear. It was like something from the cover of the National Inquirer!
Oh goodness, what is this? Really this made the front page of a newspaper. Mou needs to put these newspapers in their place. He needs to cut off their access to the team.
..So that was an entire article? They should’ve just printed a large picture of Iker instead of wasting space. Better yet, a picture of Iker and Sergio; now that’s some well used space right there 😉

Excuses aside, this whole story just made me want to imagine Iker with kids (his kids, that is)! And I like the picture Marca used of him, even if their story is silly (kids indeed!)
