the future’s looking up

Jesé Rodríguez is 17, from the Canary Islands and plays for the Juvenil A team.  He’s spent almost four years with Real Madrid after coming over from Huracán de Gran Canaria, and has progressed from Cadete B to Cadete A to Juvenil B and now to Juvenil A.  He’s also been called up for various youth categories of the national team; just this week Jesé was called up along with two of his fellow canteranos for the U-19 team for a tournament in Lithuania.  They’re now in the Baltic state, and will play against the home team, Armenia and Israel.

Anyway, I mention Jesé because this past weekend, against Las Rozas, he scored a GOLAZO (left) and also assisted on one of Sobrino’s goals (right) as Madrid beat Las Rozas 3-1 at the Ciudad Real Madrid.

I really hope Jesé has a chance to continue to progress and develop at Madrid, and that he’ll one day make it to the first team!

Thanks to reader LaBlanca for the tip!
