Good or bad first? Let’s end on a good note, so bad first. As reported earlier, Real Madrid sent signed shirts to the 33 trapped miners in Chile. And today, Madrid gave us pictures of the signing session. Of course, I was more interested in what the players were wearing than what they were doing, because there were some unusual (or original, as the gossip magazines would say) outfits.
Sergio Ramos wore a brown, collared shirt with various gold motifs, and what looks to be a pair of linen, drawstring cargo pants (they’d be slightly better if they were shorts). He really should just start going around with no clothes instead of clothes like these. By the way, I have a picture of him from last night but it’s not very good quality – he’s wearing what looks to be a white suit light colored sweater with a skinny black tie.
Iker dug the light jeans out of his closet again and paired them with a white collared shirt with a flower (or cabbage?) on it and some random words. And though I can’t see them, I can imagine the white sneakers. It’s fall already, Iker.
By the way, Iker (and Pipa) were supposed to be at the grand opening of Italian brand Harmont & Blaine’s new store yesterday in Madrid, but both were no shows. This was strange, considering that we know that Iker likes their clothing, and that their winter collection is currently being modeled by unamadridista (and Iker) favorite Fabio Cannavaro (here or here). Maybe Fabio can send Iker some sample clothing?
I knew Cris wouldn’t let me down! He wore a white belt with a big, gaudy buckle which looks to be from – where else – D&G. I’m assuming the shoes have some kind of logo on them too. And that’s probably NOT a Timeforce watch that he’s wearing. Unfortunately, since Cris is bending over, I can’t see how high the rise on his jeans are, but I will bet you that it’s around his waist.
Ricky looked good – simple is always nice along with the just out of the shower hair – and I also liked this picture because it reminded me that he still exists.
And Pipita followed that school of thought, with his plain t-shirt and jeans. Looking good as well. See, I told you we’d end on a nice note.
