a little bit of news & a lot of Cristiano

October 6, 2010

Here are a few nuggets of Real Madrid news, but really, I just wanted to bring you these images of Cristiano Ronaldo from the Deportivo game on Sunday.

He’s not stripping – unfortunately – but rather is trying to show the referee where he got fouled.

Are you also mentally shouting, “lower, lower!” and “more, more!” at Cris like I am?

In other CR news, Cristiano and girlfriend Irina Shayk were seen in Madrid on Monday popping out for a bite to eat, and looking like a couple of label junkies (Gucci for Cris, Louis Vuitton – yuck – and Louboutin for Irina.  I’m sure there were some other brands present too).

Other news:

– on Tuesday, Juan Carlos returned to his old stomping grounds of Madrid Oeste, the club where he played before moving to Real Madrid.  He was there for 11 years, starting from the time he was six.

Juan Carlos already looks like a big star, doesn’t he?

– according to Marca (you know what to do), who observed yesterday’s  training session, Mou and Peter Lion didn’t exchange a single word or gesture of complicity yesterday.  To Marca’s credit, they do say that perhaps this wasn’t anything unusual, that the player and coach had already talked behind closed doors.  I hope so!  Aitor Karanka, on the other hand, did talk to Pedro and told him he was doing well several times.  Maybe it’s a good cop – bad cop thing?

– and Sami Khedira and Mesut Özil, along with their German national team teammates, were awarded the Silver Bay Leaf award – the highest sports award – by the German government, in recognition of their third place finish at the World Cup.  Mesut’s country coach Joachim Löw also praised him yesterday, saying that “Özil is mentally strong.  He can adapt to different situations.  He’s grown from his first game with the national team, and he’s not going to let pressure affect him.”

Are they trying to compete with Iker and Sara for “worst dressed couple”? Irina will definitely lead them to victory…

Irina, please..please stop wearing those shoes. Just ’cause they’re Loubies, doesn’t mean they don’t make your feet look like peanut shells. But you’re still very beautiful. Moving on. It’s Ozil! 😀

Along with half of Real Madrid and the entire Spanish national team (staff included, as Sergio handed them out as gifts), and David Beckham!

Sorry – I am kinda clueless here. Is there anything significant about those bracelets? Do they have some sort of meaning or something? I mean, all I can tell is that they have some sort of coin like deco…

They’re supposed to have holograms that “react positively with your body’s natural energy field.” People “experience excellent balance, strength and flexibility when wearing the product.” And in Spain at least, some proceeds from sales are donated to charity.

She always wear the same pair of shoes.Maybe they give each other advico on how to dress(That will explain the horrendous pants on Cris and the blue bag paired with that outfit lol).

Cris should really not be allowed to wear street clothes, ever. He can wear his kit, training gear, underwear, swim trunks, or (preferably) nothing at all – it’s the only way.

Juan Carlos is really cute, although his youth and the fact that he has the same name as my college tutor do not encourage a crush. He does look like he’s blending in well, fashion-wise, however!

Özil cleans up really nice… very promising!
