following Real Madrid…

they get paid for this?

I’ve often said that La Roja’s training sessions remind me of anything but training, since those boys always seem to be having such a great time, whether they’re chasing each other around, forming conga lines, practicing karate kicks or dancing.

This morning, it was the turn of the Real Madrid players, as the field at Valdebebas could have passed for a playground.  And several of the players (I’m looking at you Sergio C. and Juan Carlos) fit right in, in that scenario.  They were all led by the most popular kid in the class, Marcelo.

Or, the class bully, depending on how you look at it.  Is he making fun of Cristiano’s goal celebration?

I’m jealous of Marcelo.  Look at the gif on the left and you’ll see why.

Anyway, they played a fun game in which they could only pass the ball via throwing and score via headers.  And I threw in that last picture just because it’s Iker.  And he’s bending over.

And Raúl Albiol was like the hall monitor, responsible for handing out the vests to the players, and castigating them when they misbehaved.  He looked a bit like a bullfighter at one point.

The only negative note of the session was that Sergio Ramos wasn’t out there with his teammates.  He also wasn’t called up for the game against Racing, but this does have one positive note – he gets to travel to Oviedo with Iker for the Príncipe de Asturias awards ceremony!  That means that Iker will have someone fun to talk to on the plane, as the other passengers are FP and JV.
