I’ll make them a paella, no matter who wins.

– Manuela Tortajada, mother of Raúl and Miguel Albiol, who will face off tonight in the Copa del Rey game pitting Madrid against Murcia.

Other remarks from the Albiol family, who will all be in the Nueva Condomina stadium tonight: father Miguel says both his sons are calm and excited to play in the game, and that he will support both of them, wish both of them luck, and that the best result would be a tie, so that the second leg will be an exciting one.  He added that he’s proud of his sons, first as persons and then as professionals.

Manuela added that Miguel Jr. and Raúl broke everything in her house, but got along very well.

And Miguel Jr. said, “I’ve never played against my brother.  On the field, we’ll be rivals, we won’t look at the last name on the shirt.  If I need to kick him, I’ll kick him, but without any malice… we’ll both defend our teams and after the game things will go back to how they always were.”

“Miguel Jr. and Raúl broke everything in her house, but got along very well.”

I just have this mental image of tiny little Chori and his brother sitting in the middle of a house full of broken vases and destroyed furniture, giggling maniacally.

Who are the two kids? Is Albiol Sr. holding onto a boy, or are they both Raul’s daughters?
So we finally get to see both Sergio and Albiol tonight?! What a treat!

Looks like daddy was right. The game ended as a tie but for sure it made the next match all the more interesting.
