two videos for Tuesday

In the first, we get a glimpse inside Real Madrid’s bus!

The video talks about how the bus is a refuge from the locura (craziness) that surrounds Madrid wherever they go, and shows us what happened after the Hércules game as an example.

El Pirata read a book, Matadero cinco (Slaughterhouse-Five, by Kurt Vonnegut), while Cristiano stretched out his legs, drank a soft drink and fiddled around with his Blackberry.

At 10:20h, the players had dinner on the bus while traveling to the airport (a member of the expedition is seen putting bread and sandwiches on players’ tables, and there is also the option of soup).  Álvaro Arbeloa had an apple, while Raúl Albiol ate a banana.  The voiceover says it appears that Sergio Canales decided to have the “children’s menu” of sandwich and chocolate.  Meanwhile, Peter Lion and Xabi Alonso chose the pasta option.

The second video, from “El Día Después,” reveals what Mou was scribbling in his notebook during the Hércules game, and also what he had crumpled up and thrown away when things worked out, so that no one had to be on his “dead list.”  The EDD team rescued the notebook from the field next to the bench and made it their job to translate it for all of us.

There were technical instructions, observations, a line-up, and a curious sum.

Mou didn’t end up using the line-up he had so carefully drawn out.  In that one, he had Pedro León on the right wing, with Khedira going back to defend as a central defender with Carvalho, and Marcelo and Sergio Ramos as the fullbacks.  Özil fell back in the midfield to help out Xabi and Di María.  In the end, it was Benzema who came in, and once the comeback started, Mou went to plan B instead.

With regards to the sum, in one of the pages, TSO had added 38, 13 and 6 together to get 57, which the EDD team took to mean the number of games for Madrid this season: 38 Liga games, 13 Champions games (up to the final) and 6 Copa del Rey games (until the quarterfinals).  So now I want to know, why doesn’t Mou think we can make it to the final of the Copa del Rey???

The notes seemed to be in a mixture of Spanish and Portuguese.

P.S. What do you think about Juanma Castaño with a beard?
