Asked about his Portuguese Real Madrid teammates, whom he will face on Wednesday when Spain plays Portugal in a friendly, Iker said:
Pepe has a very strong temperament, but he’s all goodness, he’s all heart, although people may have a different idea about him. Ricardo is more of an expert, a veteran. The work that both of them are doing on my team is very good.
What a lovely description of Pepe! And I love that Iker called it “his” team. Looks like Xabi has a co-parent!
Iker said this today during his press conference with La Roja, where he also revealed that they have all joked about the game.

Right, madridista, we’ve totally gone through this before! Xabi is dad, but Iker is mom! That’s why he carries his “man-bag” — it’s a mompurse, containing Capri-Suns and fruit rollups for his boys. And baby wipes, and extra hair gel.
