listo para Valencia!
The team held its last training session before tomorrow’s game against Valencia, and the great news was that Cristiano was back in training, and was sporting normal hair (well, normal for him). Also at the session was MFC Álvaro Morata. Both made it into the call-up, with the other novedad being Ezequiel Garay, finally back after injuring his right knee against Bayern Munich all the way back in mid-August. And just in time, because, as you remember, Sergio Ramos (who didn’t attend the session with the permission of the club) and Ricardo Carvalho are suspended for this game.
Goalkeepers: Iker, Adán, Dudek.
Defenders: Arbeloa, Pepe, Albiol, Garay, Mateos, Marcelo.
Midfielders: Lass, Diarra, Khedira, Granero, Xabi Alonso, Özil, Di María, Pedro León.
Forwards: Cristiano, Benzema, Morata.
More from the training session:
I’m going to take a guess here, and suppose that Cristiano was making fun of Álvaro Morata for not having access to the super gel (compare the states of their two hairstyles).

Maybe that’s what they were talking about here, if Cris will share his super gel with Álvaro. Or, they’re exchanging tips on being an effective forward. Either way, I’m sure Álvaro will find the information useful.
Meanwhile, the others grouped themselves by nationality, with the A-team sticking together.

Sami looks like he’s in a completely different climate than the others.
TSO said in his press conference after the session that no one is being castigated for their performance in the game against Barcelona. He didn’t say anything about Gonzalo Higuaín, only to say that he accompanied Pipita to see a specialist in Madrid to get first hand knowledge of the situation, but he couldn’t go with him to see the second specialist (yesterday in Barcelona). As for who will replace Pipa, Mou didn’t make it clear: “Benzema could play or not. I can put in Morata, or not have any attackers, but Karim has played well in the last few games.” And precisely on Morata and whether it was the moment to confide in the cantera, Mou was quite blunt: “it depends on the goals of Madrid. If they play to win or lose and see what happens at the end of the season, that’s an interesting philosophy. If the objective is to win titles immediately and not allow the players to grow, then Morata is far from being a formed and mature player.”
And I loved his response to questions on why Xabi Alonso didn’t do the corner kicks in the Camp Nou: “I know that there is a culture in this club where all you journalists have to know everything, but there are things in my work that I can’t reveal.”
And, Kaká’s back on the field! It seems like we haven’t seen him in forever, no? And he looks thrilled to be there! This new stage of his recovery consists of working on strength and speed to help his knee get back into shape.
He also looks a bit pale…
Well, for every piece of good news, there’s bad news, it seems. Sergio Canales had an MRI done on his left ankle, after injuring it during yesterday’s training session. The test showed a sprain, which means he’ll be out 3-4 weeks.

Im happy to see a smile back on their faces especially happy to see Crs smiles and that he is okay.Glad to see others are given a chance for this match and Good luck to the entire team.Lets crush them and take our revenge on valencia.
I love your story on cristiano, it could be it and it is very funny:)):):):).
Yes I love the boss, Xavi answer to journalists, YES Way to shut them up.haha I love it!
Hala Madrid!!!!!!!!!!!
exactly what I was thinking!
So glad to see them smiling again! Cris seems like such a blast to have on the team (and Marcelo).
These pictures have made my day, and it’s not even seven AM here in Texas! 😀
EZEQUIEL! :’)
And the picture of Sami and Mesut just fills me up with so much joy and absolutely warms my heart. :3
Do you know what’s up with Canales? Haven’t seen much action from him lately…
Just one question : Did Sergio Canales disappear ?
PS : I love your blog, thanks for doing all of this !
Shame on me, don’t know why i didn’t read the last sentences !
No, I updated the post when the info came out!
Gracias, Una!
Awwww, that’s horrible… Mi pobrecito niño. 😦
I hope he gets better as soon as possible. 🙂
It looks like Chori is the latest victim of the razor. Men, please embrace your facial hair. Please? (Product endorsements be damned!)
I agree! The facial hair makes you boys look like SEX GODS!!! Ditch the razors! 😉
KAKA WELCOME BACK ❤
I forgot everything before that. 😛
Lovely pics! Kaka!
but I cannot stop thinking, where oh where was Sergio!???
Sergio was absent from the session with the permission of the club.
OMG! I’m so happy about Kaka!! ;D
And I’m glad Cris is back too. My prayers go out as well to Gonzalo and Sergio! Thinking of them hurt makes me want to cry ;/.
Anyway I hope all goes well. I love these boys and this team AND your blog! 🙂
I’m so happy to see that smile back ate kaka’s face!! welcome back 🙂
Glad to see the team smiling and laughing. Move on from the Barça game but stll work hard to improve.
And Mou’s comments about Morata are succint and exact to the philosophy of today. There’s pretty much no chance of the canteranos being fully ready for a grueling first team season unless of injuries to the starters.
It’s too bad but hopefully those that get a chance can succeed like Mateos, Morata, Juanfran…
mou is hilarious lol, and yeah sami in shorts is funny… its probably colder in germany than spain so he might be use to the cold
Like I said before, the only silver lining I can think of is that ALVARO MORATA finally has a chance. Hopefully they *will* put him in.
“Sami looks like he’s in a completely different climate than the others.” Seeing as he’s such a steamy individual, I assume he’s hot to the touch….no winter wear needed! The gloves are just to match his fave German pal 😉
Little Morata is rocking the Kaka-esque bowl cut. Cristiano seems intrigued. And just when Kaka is about to return?… Dun dun dun
Thank you una for your training pictures! They are just too lovely too watch 😉 I hope morata debuts on tonight’s game. And I hope everyone has moved on from us being thrashed by the catalans and our team bounces back and continue being winners again! Hala Madrid! Los mejores para siempre! ❤
yayyyy Kaka’s back!!!! and how can Khedira not be cold when everyone else has like toques and gloves…
Thank you una for posting the training pictures! brings hope to my crushed heart after the thrashing made by the catalans to our beloved team. i hope our team is resilient enough and be at its winning form again against valencia! i would also love to see morata in the pitch tonight! hala madrid!
