“39. Tell me a historic moment of your club.

    – La Séptima.”

Maybe I should know this but what is La Séptima? Is is the 7th Champions League title RM won?

    • December 16, 2010 08:35

Yes, the words literally mean “The Seventh,” referring to Madrid’s seventh Champions League title.

        • December 16, 2010 14:23

No, that would be “La Novena.” The eighth is “La Octava.”

I always respect the straightforward and considered way Xavi articulates himself. Very unfussy, but smart and effective- seems to reflect his approach to the game too.
He’s such a great role model for any aspriring footballer.

I’ll always miss him in the Premier League, but he’s doing well at RM. Respect to him 🙂

Training camps, as in when the players have to gather and stay together before a game or during a tournament.

Thanx Una…. I think it be funny if after they ask “What question from journalists do you hate the most?” they should ask it … *lmao* … Xabi Alonso is soo elegant…soo well rounded…he knows a little of everything… i think you can talk to him about everything… 🙂

Oh, I have some of those pictures saved, but never knew where they were from before! Now I do. Happy day for Madrid indeed 🙂 Doesn’t he look ABSOLUTELY AMAZING in all of them? Whatever he did between Liverpool and Madrid clearly agreed with him! (My bet: he went back to San Sebastian. It must be something in the water there. Or maybe the turbot at Elkano. You think if I went to Elkano and ordered the turbot, I could look as breathtaking as Xabi Alonso?….. Naaahh.)

Xabi has clearly had PR training! These answers are not NEARLY as candid / scandalizing / juicy as Juanin’s…. que pena 😉

I wish these pics were available in high-res! The first and last (face photo with space on the side) would make *great* desktop wallpapers, no?? One for each kind of layout!
