a couple of observations…
… from the video of Madrid’s players at the Bernabéu last night, on their way to the concentración.
One. Only Xabi Alonso – only Xabi Alonso – would turn up carrying a book. And a thick one at that. Just when you thought he couldn’t possibly be more perfect…
Two. Cristiano’s hat is kind of silly.
Three. Raúl Albiol dresses like a teenager. Notice the similarities in his outfit and in that of 18-year-old Álvaro Morata? But MFC can pull it off, because he’s young.
Four. Why is the bus always parked on a slope? It always looks like the players struggle a bit to get to the door.
Five. Iker really loves those yellow Zig shoes, no? And does he even bother talking to anyone anymore, or is his mobile permanently attached to his ear? If his teammates want to talk to him, do they have a better chance of success if they call his mobile, rather than directly approach him?
Six. Simple is always best, as Mesut, Karim and Esteban show where. And one great accessory can make the outfit, as Marcelo shows. Check out his bright pink watch!

Cristiano is out of hair gel thats why he wears the hat :p i think im slowly falling over Xabi’s style and personality:) hope they win the game tonight!
It’s been said time and time again, but one more confirmation won’t hurt: Xabi is flawless!
Well let’s put it this way, would you rather see a weird hat or a butt-ugly scarf? 🙂
I actually love seeing Albiol in regular hoodies, it’s a great contrast from all the shiny/acid-washed/blindingly bright outfits some other players like to wear.
It hurts too much to have to think of new things to say about that particular pair of shoes worn by Iker, so I’ll leave it at that.

The book looks a lot like El Palestino by Antonio Salas. I wanna say that it’s El Palestino because someone bought me it and the cover looks the same. I watched the video of the players and I sat at my laptop for like an hour trying to think of why Xabi’s book stood out to me–besides the fact that I love that he’s carrying a book and how great he looks doing it!–and then I realized it’s because that same book has been sitting on my coffee table for two weeks or so! hahaha.
