In case you missed it – Real Madrid vs. Levante [2010-12-22].
This post is just the goals, with the normal ICYMI post coming a bit later, since if I put everything together, you could go out and get a cup of coffee in the time it would take to load everything! So here we go, Madrid and their magnificent eight goals from last night, with each goal accompanied by a bit of the celebration that followed.
The team played so well last night, and really played as a team. The passing was especially superb, no?
1-0, minute 6, Benzema.
Note the bicicletas and Mesut Özil once again opting to rub a head to celebrate.
2-0, minute 10, Özil.
Awww, look at the piña there. Pepe always has to jump up on everyone.
3-0, minute 31, Benzema.
Handshakes, head pats, high fives and hand signals.
4-0, minute 45, Cristiano.
Note Cristiano sucking his thumb back there for Junior. I never noticed, but Pepe and Karim’s shaved heads look a bit alike.
5-0, minute 69, Benzema.
What a pass from Ángel di María and what a finish. And as the Benz knows, that’s goal number three for him. Chapeau.
6-0, minute 72, Cristiano.
Again, what a pass from Ángel di María. Marcelo likes to jump in too.
7-0, minute 74, Cristiano.
The Benzema-Cristiano partnership is fantastic. Not so fantastic – Cristiano’s attempt at something. I don’t even know what he’s doing. Maybe Sergio should give him some lessons on how to do proper somersaults.
Kaká was at the game. I think that’s all you need to know to draw a conclusion for this part of Cristiano’s celebration.
8-0, minute 89, Pedro León.
I love even numbers, so it was great that Madrid got one more goal in there, but I really wished that MFC could have scored. The team did honor his effort in creating the goal in their celebration, though that hair pulling seems to have hurt MFC a bit. Pepe, don’t be so rough!
