take one, take two, take three…

Well, several days after its mysterious disappearance from Real Madrid’s youtube page, the bloopers video has finally been released.  You can watch it here (the first video is the basketball and football teams, and the second video is just the football team).

The video is really quite funny and charming, and it’s great to see the boys’ personalities shine through.

(But I really didn’t want to know that the players had scripted lines – for example, you can see Mateos’ eyes moving as he reads the sign or the teleprompter or whatever they had back there – because I prefer to believe that they just said what they felt and weren’t “ordered” to say anything).

With that said, the highlights:

– Gonzalo saying that he was Esteban Granero

– someone complaining about Adán being too vain

– Mesut practicing his chat up line on Sami (because Sami of all people could correct him if he made his mistake, no?)

– anything that Marcelo and Cristiano do together; Marcelo does a very good Spanish accent

– no one knowing who would start, and Albiol and Kaká both being very polite with each other (tú tú tú tú is this year’s ni ni ni ni)

– Xabi and Esteban being too classy to do anything wrong or remotely embarrassing

– note to file in mind: Pedro León is not ticklish in the stomach area

– Arbeloa requesting more and more takes

– Adán’s mobile ringing at the exact wrong moment

– and of course the overuse of the word “tío”
