While the autobus carrying the players and the Cup was on the way to Cibeles, Sergio Ramos dropped the trophy while holding it up at the front of the bus and the bus ran over it!!! [UPDATE: the Cup looks quite mangled, even though Sergio tweeted that it’s okay. The maker of the Cup has facilitated a copy of the trophy presented to Iker yesterday to display in the museum, as they always make a replica back-up in as part of a contingency plan. He also said that the Cup that Sergio dropped is a “total disaster.”]
