El Pirata y los piratillas
Get ready to be bombarded with adorableness. These photos are from El Pirata’s Facebook; I love that he’s spending part of his vacation instilling the fundamentals of football and life in children! (That is, between writing haikus, listening to Bob Dylan and expounding on the works of philosophers and psychologists I’ve never heard of…)
“This is the benjamines team; they’ve had a great season. And they’re already doing El Pirata!” The little goalkeeper does it best, no? With the addition of his glove, his hand is not covering just his eye, but half of his face!
Esteban also posted these two photos as well. The one below is a photo with “his pre-benjamin piratas,” who won their league this year.
In this one, he wrote, “playing a round yesterday in the training session, those ‘piratillas’ are cracks!”
PS – Adidas needs to start selling those “____ are all in” shirts. I would buy Esteban’s, Xabi’s, Javi (!!!)’s… By the way, Esteban’s hair is looking decidedly Peter Lion-esque, no?
adidas refuse to sell the “____ is all in” shirts. There have been a lot of requests from the tennis community for them to be sold, but it is ‘not in their plans’ unfortunately.
Huge marketing fail, imo. (Just imagine how many ‘real madrid is all in’ shirts they could sell..)
Seriously. It’s a great campaign. They already have the screens set up. Why can’t they go all in and sell the shirts? Fay-ill. Unfortunately, Iker wouldn’t be one of the _____s.

that’s so disappointing! I’d totally rock out in a ‘alonso is all in’ and ‘real madrid is all in’ shirt at uni! they’d sell like hotcakes…what’s the problem with that!
i love him, like i swear i dont think there is anybody else in football like him. and i love that he takes time to to do the Piratitas ( hanging with kids teaching them the beautiful sport )
I love Granero’s hair–it suits him! He seems like such a sweetheart.
ADORABLE! it’s funny, i’m not maternal in the slightest, but when i see little kids in football uniforms, i just melt into a puddle of goo.
