I can’t wait to walk into work today! I work in a restaurant filled with Cules, and last night I printed tions of pictures from the game and will tape them everywhere! My boyfriend (also a Madrid fan) said that everyone was very quiet at work last night. Hahaha! He went to work after the game wearing his Cristiano jersey.
Still can’t believe we did it!

I don’t know if there was something that Mou did differently, other than distance himself from the press, but the mentality of the team during the game was brilliant. It was wonderful and it still feels wonderful!!!

To commemorate my happiness I knew I JUST HAD to bake two batches of cookies (espresso white chocolate that I baptized as “Victory Cookies #1” and double chocolate chocochips raisin cookies as “AHAHAHAHAHA Cookies”), because glorious victory is glorious and it sure does taste super sweet!

Let me tell you something: I was in a bar with mostly Barcelona fans yesterday, and I swear I heard a pin drop. It was such an eerie feeling, but I couldn’t stop smiling because I saw our boys win. I was really cautious the whole time, but when I saw Sami’s goal, it just made me happy. It reminded me of Benzema’s goal in the last one. And then, Cristiano Ronaldo…. I was proud to be a Madridista yesterday! This was a different Madrid than I’ve seen, and I was so happy. Still am! Barca is always the biggest challenge that we have to face at least, recently), and we’ve made it over the hump! Look at us! 🙂
Haven’t decided what I’m going to do today to celebrate, lol. We’re almost there madridistas!

I was on the roadtrip but managed to watch the match, with some audio problems but still!!! I was so so so happy! Especially after Cristiano’s goal, it was exactly what was needed at that time. I was secretly afraid at 1:1, cause of the past, but the end result is perfect!
I was watching the game around 70% of Barcelona fans so me and my friend were accepting the contgrats from them afterwards LOL I have to admit, the atmosphere was very peaceful and quite enjoyable, and it was fairly agreed that these teams create the most emotional football matches ever.;-))))
I still cannot believe what happened!!!!!
My only worry afterwards was that my phone could not connect to internet and I was not able to check this website immediately and comment here in the middle of the night!!!

I was incredibly proud of them! They were able to remain level headed the entire 90 minutes no one lost their heads, it was a very clean match between both sides (for the most part) and I thought the ref was pretty fair. This is the way every Clasico should be! No doubt a nice change to have the tables reversed for once.

I was stoked! I have trouble watching Classicos because of the high drama, etc. I’m proud we got over this mental hump, and now I just want us to stay focused all the way to the Victory Dance at the Champions League final!

Wow! What a game! SO SO SO proud of our guys. Not just for the win but the way they played…all of them! Coentrao shut Alves down which hopefully shuts his critics up. Sami had a fantastic game. The goal was just the icing on the cake for him. Iker came through big AGAIN! CR7..what else can be said about him?! Ozil..not just offensively but helping out on defense too. Granero hit the ground running as soon as he came in. The list goes on and on. And the best part about it….at the Camp Nou! The frustration on Barca’s part was priceless.
P.S. Una, I just got here and already 70 comments! At least 70 people were already hoping the ICYMI was posted for this epic win! 😀 Hopefully, this encourages you that we all love your blog even though we don’t always comment!
Me again, I have a lot of reflections, espacially because I was so busy lately that I did not have time to watch all the matches, so it all hits me now, La Liga practically won, wow.
I did not like all the troubles in past clasicos, especially in the Mou era, especially since the infamous 5:0 in Camp Nou (with exception to Copa del Rey). But paradoxally, this victory is so much sweeter because of them and I never lost hope that this day will come;-) It’s almost like all the losses were needed in order to reach this victory. And even this melting advantage in La Liga from past weeks, it all adds to the drama that makes it so great.
I know it’s one match and as Mou says, the next day is Sunday no matter what, but it is a perfect example of what this team has gone through and how they matured and with all the wins with other teams, the great streak against other teams, this victory is so much sweeter and means so much, just because it was so difficult to get it.
and generally as a football fan I love the fact that we get to see such rivalry, even though it’s sometimes too much for my nerves.
oh, and Jose Mourinho, what a coach.

I woke up feeling so refreshed today and have been beaming since yesterday afternoon. And I just read that the Castilla babies won their division today! What a wonderful weekend to be a Madridista. Hopefully we’ll have even more to celebrate after Wednesday!
The match was at 2am local time, finished at 4am and I was so awake after the match, it took me a while to fall asleep.
I have never been so proud of this team, my heart could burst for the love and pride I feel for them. I know that sounds terribly cheesy, but that is really how I feel.
