behind the scenes…
The people over at Gustaff Choos have released a making of video from the photo shoot for next season’s kits and training/leisure clothes. The photo session took place in March at the parking lot of Valdebebas, and this video allows us to see what other things the boys will be sporting next season.
What Iker’s wearing appears to be next season’s version of the “run onto the field, pose, take off and hand to the equipment manager jacket solely for marketing purposes,” as well as the obligatory puffy coat.
Speaking of puffy, here’s Mou’s puffy vest for next season. With its bright yellow accents, as well as those on his sleeves, the referees will have no problem spotting him when he’s gesturing wildly on the sideline. That’s probably not a good thing. And will any of our rivals be walking away with this vest after a game next season?
This appears to be the training line.
No modeling post would be complete without an awkward pose from Karim.
I think that may be the orange jersey, but it looks coral, no? And Calleti, for some reason, was wearing his shorts backwards.

Two final thoughts: Xabi is such a pro at this modeling thing, and why is Iker willing to get shirtless for everyone except us?

xabi (and arbeloa, as always — i have to say it!) absolutely has a career outside football as a model. he just wears clothes so well and with such elegance — it’s effortless.
i love that calleti’s shorts are on backwards! see, this is why you’re a genius — i never would have even noticed that!
i wonder what the true colour of iker’s kit is. i’ve seen photos where it looks orange, red, coral, almost pinkish … truth be told, i don’t like any of them except red.
mou’s puffy vest with those ugly neon patches is hideous! whomever thought lime green/neon yellow was a good accent colour for next year’s jerseys should be fired! bleargh!
