Since it’s been a little quiet around here, I thought I would post about the making of video for Xabi Alonso’s Boss Bottled/Success Beyond the Game campaign here.

He really is perfection personified, isn’t he?

In the video, Xabi says, “I’m Xabi Alonso, and I’m very proud to represent Boss Fragrances in this new campaign… my definition of success is winning the World Cup.”  The video is only 49 seconds long, but what poses we get from Xabi Alonso!

And here are the final results, in case you haven’t seen them yet.  I’ve seen them in lots of Spanish newspapers and magazines over the past month!

To quote Prince, “You sexy motherfucker!” (Sorry, I had to use that word. Censor it if you like. ;)) In any case, that is awesome! I love the different poses! *sigh*

Wow, he is a model really! He is posing perfectly, without looking a ‘I am soo delicious look at me’ look. He is delicious, but we can tell him that.

    Lovely!!

is there anything he can’t do? is it possible for him NOT to look effortlessly cool and hot at the same time? good grief, he’s just PERFECT. if i didn’t admire him so much, i’d find it kind of annoying! ;p

I only wish they’d taken a few still shots with his hair in that spiky muss and his smile beaming out as it so often does when he’s not in posing mode! What’s most extraordinary about Xabi – okay, hard to pinpoint any one thing as the most extraordinary thing about Xabi – is that he clearly has a healthy awareness of his great physical charm, but it never hardens into a mask. His face and his heart (and the rest of him!) keep their live connection. Just beautiful.

Xabi Alonso, are you for real?

    I mean, wow, just wow.

BTW, I wonder if Mou watches the Euro games now, at this stage. I just realised that EVERY quarter-final match features either current or past players coached by him and that includes RM players (4 teams) and past Chelsea players (2 teams), so if I count correctly, 6 out of 8 teams in QF include players coached by him now or in the past. I did not check whether any current Italian player on NT has been coached by Mou (I think not, but I’d have to check), but the statistic so far is impressive enough.

What is more – so far two teams that advanced to the semis BOTH have Real Madrid players playing in them. Plus taking into account that tomorrow either Spain or France advances and they both include RM players, RM would be represented in 3 out of 4 semi-final teams and EVERY semi-final will include RM players.

Coming back to Mou, at least 3 teams playing in the semi-finals will include his current players, but if England advances on Sunday, ALL semi-final matches will have representatives of clubs that Mou coaches or coached.

    No comments, right? ;-))
