#35 with 23 days to go…
Twenty four days until Christmas and 24 players on our team, so I thought it would be fun and festive to take a look back at some of my (our) favorite player moments! One player will be featured each day, and in a break from tradition, we’ll start with Jesús (and end with a saint, jajaja!). Consider it a daily advent treat!*
The moments involving Jesús are quite few, since he was just formally promoted to the first team this season, and he doesn’t get any playing time. But there was the moment of his debut, against Almería on the last matchday of the 2010-11 season. Madrid won that game 8-1. And a more recent moment is Jesús scaring Iker with his driving. I adore that huge and mischievous grin!
And of course, there was also the boyband moment!
According to his bio on Madrid’s web site, Jesús loves cars (that’s quite obvious, isn’t it?), music and films. In addition to football, he also plays padel and the piano! His idol is Iker Casillas.
What are your favorite Jesús moments?
* I did that for the other blog two years ago, and it was fun!
I love your advent calendar idea! What a great way to learn about all the players!
I think that José cannot do so much about Jesus not getting any playing time, as he have way too much confidence in Iker to not play him on Champions and the League. And he also has chosen to give Ádan some playing time by giving him the Copa del Rey. So that makes Jesus stay on the bench unfortunately. He has way to many players that can be used but there is just no place for them.
As well as him not using the other Castilla players it´s because he has so many others, what is he going to do with Benzema/Cristiano/Higuain if he should start with Morata? If one makes a comparision to Barca, this change to all these academy players has not taken place this year only, it´s something that has come slowly over the past few years. So, to criticise Mourinho for not using the castilla players, is just ridiculous, he has given many of them a chance to show what they can do, and unfortunately they are not THAT good.
I love this idea!
Jaja yea the audi thing is really a bonus, giving us such a moment to see dumb Iker with naughty Jesus, which is also my favourite moment about Jesus! Wish to see more anecdotes of him 😀
aw jesus is super cute :3
Great idea! I’ll be looking forward to those daily treats 😀 Jesus is cute and has some very nice legs which I noticed recently 😉
yay this is awesome, muchas gracias 😀
oooh, yes please! best present ever! and starting with jesus and winding up with a saint … love it!
the shot of iker’s face and clutching hands as jesus literally takes the wheel is priceless. jajajajajaja!
Great idea! I’m so glad you’re back. I’ve really missed your blog : )
What a gorgeous idea! The DFB does it too – they have an Advent Calendar.
thank you una 😀 that’s a great idea!
This Blog is great, love it!
Una, I love this idea!! And I think I would have the same expression as Iker if I was the one riding in his car at the time; his grin doesn’t exactly reassure me that he’s taking his driving duties seriously 😉
I have been keeping an eye on Jesus (and some of his parts). I hope we get to see him play so that we can say “Jesus saves!” Thank you, Una!
Oh man I love that gif on top. Poor Iker he looks so scared and I love how Mesut is just chilling. And I agree, I love your calendar idea. Thanks Una.
Lovely! But keep it up only as long as you won’t end up all stressed out, Una – vale? 🙂
Vale! Gracias!
Awesome idea.
“we’ll start with Jesús (and end with a saint, jajaja!). Consider it a daily advent treat!*”
HA! Nicely done.
