He came on the last day of the transfer period, and since then has spent some time on the injured list, including a stint back in London receiving treatment for an allergy, so we haven’t seen all that much of Michael Essien yet. Nevertheless, he seems to have adapted very well to his new team and his new teammates, who are “top guys” (love his outfit there! Note to Karim: that’s how you wear a vest. And is that doll supposed to be Michael?).
And who can forget the whole “daddy” thing from his first day with the team? Adorable! And anyone who forces Iker to bust out his terrific English is someone I like.

I remember him from the 2006 World Cup! He does have style. I’m still waiting to see what he can do for Real Madrid!
So, I haven’t been commenting every day but just so know, my first thought when I wake up in the morning now is “What number are we at?! Whose day is it?!” haha 🙂
This one is a favourite of mine now. Such a sweetheart, and I feel safe with him on the pitch. Hopefully one day he will replicate his most famous goal (for Chelsea against Barca in the CL) for us.
I really don´t like him. He kept posting those pictures on Instagram wearing a Chelsea jersey for weeks and even didn´t understand why the Madridistas where unhappy about it. Not until media snapped it up he removed them. I know some may say that Chelsea still owns him and he is in RM on loan, but that doesn’t take away the fact that he still is a RM player this season and should respect the RM fans. No, I am extremely disappointed at him and I don’t like him at all. I used to like him but he completely changed in my eyes when he went to London to get treatment and acted like he was a Chelsea player. Please Essien go back to London! You have nothing to do in Madrid!
