seeing iker pass him the captain’s armband brought tears to my eyes — and he scored, too! truly a magical night. 🙂 ❤ wish i were there!

(i'm actually glad iker was subbed at the half, it would have been too awful to watch him try and stop (or let in) a goal by raul.)

    It’s too much….

I can’t wait until the day he returns to the team in some fashion. As a manager, scout, player development…something. He embodies the values of the team perfectly.

I did not get to watch the match in full as we didn’t get a telecast where I live, but from the photos and highlights I saw, it seemed like it was a wonderful match. The crowd came out in full force (from what I saw, but feel free to correct me) and it looked like Raúl and our players had a wonderful time. I got so emotional when Iker passed the captain’s armband to Raúl. I also found the Cristiano and Raúl interactions quite endearing. It was so cute when Cris helped fix the armband on Raúl’s arm when Iker passed it on, Cris seemed so happy to be playing with Raúl. That was so lovely to see.
