Sixteen seasons with Real Madrid, 741 games and 323 goals. Real Madrid’s all-time leader in appearances and goalscoring. Winner of six Ligas and three Champions Leagues. And the source of countless glorious moments at the Bernabéu.
seeing iker pass him the captain’s armband brought tears to my eyes — and he scored, too! truly a magical night. 🙂❤ wish i were there!
(i'm actually glad iker was subbed at the half, it would have been too awful to watch him try and stop (or let in) a goal by raul.)
PS: thank you SO much for updating today … i was so, so, so hoping you would! XO
if I could like this post a million times, I would.
I just watched his goal from yesterday on youtube and got teary-eyed.
I will never get over him leaving Real.
i so miss you una.. i thought you’re not coming back anymore.. funny thing is that i only tried looking at ur site and got a big surprise.. #justknew sorry.. had fun laughing with the emoji..
His brief return to Real warmed my heart! :’) I hope he will come back to us soon…
It’s too much….
I can’t wait until the day he returns to the team in some fashion. As a manager, scout, player development…something. He embodies the values of the team perfectly.
I did not get to watch the match in full as we didn’t get a telecast where I live, but from the photos and highlights I saw, it seemed like it was a wonderful match. The crowd came out in full force (from what I saw, but feel free to correct me) and it looked like Raúl and our players had a wonderful time. I got so emotional when Iker passed the captain’s armband to Raúl. I also found the Cristiano and Raúl interactions quite endearing. It was so cute when Cris helped fix the armband on Raúl’s arm when Iker passed it on, Cris seemed so happy to be playing with Raúl. That was so lovely to see.
There were so many good, heartwarming moments!
Oh Una, Una, where art thou as our team breaks up?! ahhh T_____T
