gracias.

June 5, 2013

Thank you all for your comments.  I read through all of them, and really appreciate them.  It makes me happy knowing that for many of you, my blog helped you to love Real Madrid more.

And since some of you have expressed an interest in the Q&A, I will have one.  You can either leave a comment on this post, or email me over the next week.  Then I’ll gather up the questions and make a Q&A post.  How does that sound?

adios.

May 30, 2013

I have very much enjoyed sharing my love and passion for best, biggest and greatest club in the world with all of you during the past four years, but the time has come for this blog to end (although I might pop back once in a while when I can’t resist talking about something, such like today, to express my dislike for the choice of fonts on the new jerseys).

I hope that my writings allowed you to see and experience Real Madrid and the players in a different way, and that you picked up some knowledge here and there as well. After all, what better way is there for a madridista to express her love for her club than to share it with others? Thank you for reading this blog during these years, for commenting, for contributing, for drooling over the players with me, for everything. Un beso muy fuerte.

UM.

P.S. If there is interest, I’ll have a Q&A post so you all can ask me anything about Madrid that you didn’t have a chance to before. Let me know!

eight moments in Donostia

May 28, 2013

During the moments before the game against Real Sociedad, we had Cris and Pepe having fun on the bench, and Álvaro Arbeloa, Raúl Albiol and Aitor Karanka laughing it up in the tunnel.

all set for Real Sociedad!

May 26, 2013

Can you believe we are almost at the end of the season?  We have two matches left before the summer, the first of which takes place tonight against Real Sociedad at the Anoeta (20h).  Today is also the 12th anniversary of our 28th Liga.  During the celebration at the Bernabéu, Iker drove the medical cart around, with Tote, Alberto Rivera and Álvaro Benito in tow.  That is the image that has stuck with me whenever I think about that season.

all set for Atleti!

May 17, 2013

What’s 77 centimeters tall, weighs 17 kilos and was once run over by a bus?  The Copa del Rey, of course!  A derbi madrileño will decide the winner of the 2013 edition, as Madrid takes on Atleti tonight (21:30h) at the Bernabéu.  Tonight could be the night for number 19, and I hope to see you all at Cibeles!

Karim is sporting some “glamorous” boxers…

everything but the game

May 13, 2013

The best moments from the game against Espanyol all occurred off of the pitch!  To kick things off, an episode of The Fábio Coentrão Show.  The game was about to start, and Fábio, dressed in his boots and game shorts and a shirt, and with his jersey in hand, emerged from the tunnel and sat down next to Iker on the bench.  This earned him a look from Iker, and then laughter, as he explained to Fábio, with Karim Benzema (who couldn’t stop laughing!) and Casemiro cracking up beside him, that he had not made the list of 18 players for the game.

What happened next?

Esteban Granero at AS

May 12, 2013

AS ran an interview with Esteban Granero today, and as with any other time where words come out of El Pirata’s mouth, it’s good.

I still laugh each time I see how chubby little Antonio was…

Why did you leave Real Madrid?

The decision was mine.  It was a difficult moment because it was the last day of the transfer market and it could have set back the plans of the club, but Mourinho respected my decision, as he has always done, and the president did as well.
